I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. In my experiences I have found that children learn in many different ways. Based on this I feel that individualized attention to each student makes them more successful in school, as well as, in many life experiences. Children learn by doing. With this in mind I find the best teaching style for each child. I enjoy using songs to enforce concepts in all subjects. I also enjoy having students discover and comprehend concepts on their own. I like working with children of all ages. I believe that children of all ages and cultural backgrounds can learn if given a proper chance. I even managed to teach children in South Korea, when I didn't speak Korean at all and my students had limited English skills. I taught them through games and use of our workbooks and student books.
