Education has always been extremely important to me. To me there is no greater feeling than finally grasping a difficult concept and I love helping someone else achieve that feeling. Consistently during grade school, high school, and college, other students came to me for help with their schoolwork and I enjoyed providing them with a new perspective, or recapping the teacher’s lecture. I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been told I have a three dimensional style of training. I teach in a way that every style of student can (eventually) get it. I have taught both children and adults in the various positions I have held through my life (camps, schools, employers and church). Nothing is more exciting than seeing the "light bulb moment" go off on an individual's face!
As the Head Trainer for Order Entry and Customer Service for ten years at J Crew I taught detailed customer service training for new hires. I also implemented and taught the Train the Trainer Program within the Lynchburg, VA Region 2000 community. I created a Remedial Training Program to raise skill levels among associates and taught Telephone Etiquette and motivational training. I also revised the Order Entry Manual to be used for all new hires.

I graduated from Liberty University in May 2009 with a BS in Accounting. I am currently and have been a substitute teacher in Bedford County for the 2009-2010 school year. I have substituted for grades 6-12. I have been a football coach at Liberty High School for 3 years and I have been a track & field coach at Liberty High School for 5 years. I have helped different types of students away from school in various subjects.
