I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice. As former ringmaster for the Greatest Show on Earth, I have performed more than 2000 shows with Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Most of my experience comes from a professional hands-on approach in performing, costume designing and constructing. Although I had been temporarily enrolled in an art institute in Atlanta Ga, I am a self read, self taught muralist whose training has come from years of learning and perfecting my craft.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient, and have an easy going personality. I enjoy working with children, and seeing them understand new concepts. Having worked with many children on a daily basis, I know that each child can succeed. I believe that learning is accomplished through both discovery, and in traditional methods. My goal is not only to help children learn, but also, to make a difference in their lives.
After completing my bachelor degree in Elementary Education, I began teaching First Grade. Each day I was responsible for a maximum of thirty children at a time. Directly after graduating, I began a career as an Academic Advisor in the Moore School of Business Undergraduate Division at the University of South Carolina. I currently still hold this job. With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. I progressed to teaching English, Spanish, and some Special Education Resource classes at the High School level, and continued to teach lower level English classes at a local college along with reading in an Adult Continuing Education program through another college. My writing skills have been sharpened as I edited and wrote articles for newsletters, newspaper releases, and in an administrative capacity.
I enjoy teaching and do my best to make learning fun and easy for my pupils. I approach lessons by letting the student realize how and why the lesson is important and how it relates to their lives.
