I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. After reviewing and application of the concepts, I have my students switch roles and "teach" me the material. I believe if you can explain the material to someone else, you really understand it.
I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. My approach to tutoring is to first find which specific area is causing each individual problems. My comments on tutoring Genetics : Education in genetics at both the undergrad and medical school level. I find genetics to be very fascinating. Have deep understanding of the way in which genetics ties in with all other biological science. Genetics is the cornerstone foundation to understanding how all things relating to biology function.

Have tutored since 1999. BS in biology as well as medical degree with two years surgical/medical resident training. Have had to utilize knowledge of biologic sciences on a daily basis for 16 years. Have tutored/taught countless undergrads and medical students as well as patients. Able to communicate effectively with people from any socio economic background. Have educated students/patients ranging from billionaires to the homeless. Everyone is able to learn, it's only a matter of finding a teaching style that will benefit them the most. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Hampton University with a BS in Molecular Biology and my love for science pushed me to pursue a MS in Medical Science. I have tutored at Hampton University in the areas of Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Science, and General Biology. I have also taught at Thomas Nelson Community College in The Biological Sciences. I have been teaching sixth grade science for the last two years. My students have the highest scores in the school. Three out of four of my classes have at least a 92% pass rate for the city's benchmark test.
