A Little Bit About Me...

My favorite jobs that I have had dealt with working with children. I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. No two children are the same and that is why they deserve one on one communication. Each child has their own way of learning and that is why it is important to get to know them on a personal level.
For the past four summers I have worked in a childcare setting. Last summer I did an internship at a Headstart and the previous three summers I worked at a daycare. At both places I worked with children of all ages. In May of 2010 I graduated from UW Green Bay with a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I plan on getting certified in Child Life.

I recently graduated cum laude (3.704 GPA) from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay earning a BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing. While attending UWGB I served as the fiction editor for The Sheepshead Review, UWGB's journal of the creative arts. My duties on staff included the critiquing of written work on a daily basis as well as copy editing. I am the author of the award winning short story "The Worm Atlas" which has been published in both Door County's: The Peninsula Pulse as well as The SHR. Four years of education in the English department has honed my composition skills to the point where writing A-papers has become automatic, yet I completely understand the process. .
