I have been tutoring individually for over 8 years for multiple families and children. I have been in child care as a nanny for the past 3 years. Before becoming a nanny I worked as a preschool teacher for about 2 years. My knowledge gained through my experiences in teaching and child care have given me useful tools to help meet the needs of my students and help them to be successful in school and in life.
I am a flexible tutor and am able to switch up my teaching styles based on the strengths, preferences, interests and needs (what I like to call their SPINs). I try to meet each individual student's needs using a variety of teaching strategies and techniques based on their learning style(s).

My comments on tutoring Hearing Impaired : I have worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in academic and social environments. I have worked in in ASL, Signed English, SimCom, and Oral environments.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a student at East Stroudsburg University, studying special education and psychology. I am just finished my first semester of student teaching and will be completing the second one in the fall, graduating in December. I have completed several hours tutoring for college of the past 3 years. I have also had two student teaching placements already. The first was in a third grade inclusion setting and the second in a k-2 life skills room. In both settings I was teaching all subjects on several different levels.
I love working will all children, seeing their strengths and weaknesses. I feel that all children can learn you just have to find the best way to approach each student's individual learning style.
