My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I taught Macbeth to twelfth grade high school students while student teaching at Berry College and have an comprehensive understanding of Shakespeare plays. I can explain the language and stories in a context that any teenager could understand.

I opt for making the material relatable to my students, which causes it to be more interesting and meaningful. When something is relevant, it is a lot more fun and kids are much more willing to want to learn, which is, of course, ideal.
I graduated from McIntosh High School in Fayette County and studied English and Secondary Education at Berry College. I student taught for a year at Rome High School before graduating and becoming a substitute teacher in Fayette County. I have completed three long-term substitute positions, two of which put me in charge of an entire classroom with all the responsibilities of a full-time teacher. To test what they know beforehand, I would administer a short pretest on some basic skills and once that test has been evaluated, I will begin teaching from the information with the least familiarity. I use all methods of second language acquisition in my teaching. Most of the exercises I use to help beginning are communicative methods. It's better to get them speaking and writing and build their confidence than to just use rote memorization or drills. If I think the audio-lingual method will help a more advanced student, I suggest and practice this method with them.
