A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching groups as well as one on one sessions. I believe teaching in a group can be exceptionally helpful as children have the opportunity to not only learn from their designated teacher but also from each other. I enjoy working with all kinds of children and of any age. Teaching children individually is also extremely rewarding as one can give them his/her undivided attention. I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I grew up as a teacher's son and now I am a teacher's husband so I have experience exploring different methods to help children learn. I believe I can pass on my education and experience to students and give them real world applications of the material they are studying. After graduating with a mathematics undergraduate degree in 1998, I have continued to study all areas of mathematics for the last 12 years. Most of my education was self taught beyond high school. I've also tutored and mentored school age children for approximately four years when in college. I have spent the better part of my life either in school or teaching in one form or another. I highly value both the process of learning and of passing on my knowledge. I have intend to make this my life's work and as such have almost always held teaching positions. I tutored fellow students while an undergraduate and after graduation I taught autistic students in math, reading, art, speech therapy and physical education for 5 years. Then, as a graduate student I taught Human Anatomy to undergraduates.
