I went to University of South Carolina and I helped with some of the teachers with their tutoring sessions. I also helped with tutoring in high school. I have just recently moved to TN and I am looking for a fun and different kind of job where I am able to help people.

I enjoy working with students. It seems that, in most cases, tutoring is essentially a confidence-builiding exercise. Yes, it's anout instructional leadership, but it's more about showing a student they can really achieve what they're setting out to do. I really enjoy showing students that they know the solution; it's just about learning how to properly express it. I have 7 years of teaching experience at the Florida School for the Deaf teaching struggling readers at the high school level. I received the teacher of the year recognition award during my second year of teaching due to my ability to motivate and encourage all my students to enjoy the love of reading. In the evening, I also coordinated the tutoring program for 2 years as well as tutored for 4 years.
I believe that all children can learn. It is just a matter of getting his/her lightbulb to go off.
