My comments on tutoring Painting : Skilled in using watercolors, acrylics and oils. Can assist in mixing colors and compounds, using different brushes and brush strokes for desired effect. Can assist in dual action airbrushing techniques and mixing acrylics/ and or standard airbrush paints. Can design and create stencils for larger scaled projects. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice. As former ringmaster for the Greatest Show on Earth, I have performed more than 2000 shows with Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Most of my experience comes from a professional hands-on approach in performing, costume designing and constructing. Although I had been temporarily enrolled in an art institute in Atlanta Ga, I am a self read, self taught muralist whose training has come from years of learning and perfecting my craft.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for education and learning. I have always excelled in mathematics from elementary to collegiate levels. I LOVE math. I love to do math and I love to teach math. I was even on a math competition team in middle school. I have a strong statistical background from my Psychology studies and have taught Middle Grades Math to 8th graders. I taught Standard 8 Plus and Algebra 1 to 8th grade students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. I also tutored Psychology students in Statistics at the collegiate level during my time as a teaching assistant.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and showing them something new. I feel a sense of reward when a student of mine realizes that they have a new concept. More About This Tutor...

As a teacher in middle school, teaching art was fun and exciting. Until I began to subsititute, did I feel that I could teach and wanted to help children learn. I taught for two years with being a subsitute for nearly four years. I am working on my masters in elementary education.
I believe that teaching should be interactive with imput from the student. This imput will allow the teacher to understand what the student knows and what the weakness might be. I want to make a difference in allowing the student to solve problems with guidance from me.
