A Little Bit About Me...

I like to be interactive- when I'm teaching I prefer to work through a problem with a student together the first time, letting the student more or less watch me. The second time through, we approach the problem with a little more weight placed on the student. The third time I ask the student to attempt the problem on his/her own, and I'm available for questions.
I have tutored classmates and friends throughout college and after in science and math disciplines. My younger sister struggled in school and I assisted her with all disciplines from grades K-12. I studied Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University and got my degree in four years. Classes I took included four semesters of calculus, including multivariable and differential equations, two semesters of physics, inorganic and organic chemistry, and several chemical engineering specific classes. I am a Senior-level professional with comprehensive experience in P&L, operations,technical.I have a Master's degree in Project Management and have learned many organizational, computer, and business skills. I have also taught Special Education in Elementary grade levels. I tutored 2 Engineers that did not speak English and taught them to read, write and speak fluently in 1 year. I also administered placement testing for Dr. Phillips Learning Center, as well as tutoring all grade levels in writing, reading comprehension, English, and language.
I have always loved teaching, and even though I have been in the Aerospace business for the past 25 years I have always been assigned training. It has always been a natural fit for me.
