Try to customize to students intrest in order to keeep attention and make as entertaining as possible. Every child sees things from different eyes. I just teach them how to look. I know that as a student I would hear one explanation that all of a sudden made things so clear and seem so simple. I try to find this for every individual student.
I have helped students from my church for the past eight years in math science and english. I have also worked with my sisters first grade students in math. I enjoy working with youth. I love helping people, particularly children, reach their full potential by becoming life-long learners. Whenever I meet with a student, whether it be one-on-oe or in the classroom, I strive to identify his/her learning style and to create a connection to the lesson to his/her future experiences in the world beyond the classroom. A Little Bit About Me...

Although I have not formally been in the classroom since 1998, I regularly tutor my own children. While in college at MTSU, I was a substitute teacher in Rutherford County for 3 years, mainly substituting at Central Middle School. I also did various volunteer tutoring in the Elementary schools as class credit toward my degree. Due to having my oldest child my senior year of college, I was forced into the general workforce due to finances, and do not have any formal teaching experience outside of substituting. I have substituted and tutored in Math, Reading, English, and Science; Language Arts and Science being my strongest areas of concentration.
