My comments on tutoring Algebra : I can teach all HS level and under mathematics.

I have tutored fellow classmates in HS. I've taught my nieces and nephew to understand and love mathematics, as well as respect science, which is really just the real-world application of mathematics. I can explain many abstract topics in tangible ways. I love when I see that twinkle in someone's eye when something clicks and they grab onto the topic they once didn't comprehend.

I will begin by walking you through how to solve the problems. After a few sessions of that, we will then move on to simple exams taken by the student to gauge your knowledge. Finally, we will end with a practice exam to ensure that you are at the appropriate level.
I am an instructor at Virginia College and VC recently cancelled its ASVAB tutoring program. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one.
