The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. During my high school years, I was able to work with a young child through his first three years of elementary school. I tutored the child through basic math, science, reading, and various school projects. I obtained invaluable teaching experience on a personal and professional level. During college, I declared my major in Microbiology/Pre-med.
