Credentialed Elementary Teacher Able to Tutor K-12

I am a credentialed elementary teacher, but have experience tutoring K-12, both in person and virtually. I began tutoring virtually starting in mid 2019 and refined my skills during the pandemic when everything became virtual. My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : I have a double major in English and Psychology and I have taught high school English. I have published both technical and fictional articles.

I am very aware of the necessity of adapting my teaching style to the learning modality of those I am working with. As an educator I evaluated students to define how they best process information. They may be auditory learners, visual learners or they may use a combination approaches. I am very patient and understand that everyone can learn. Over the past 15 years I have had variety of different teaching experiences. I taught literature as a TA at UC Santa Barbara while studying for my Masters. I have tutored K-12 students in both Math and English. While studying for my undergraduate I assited in running a homeless shelter where I taught many of the children reading, writing, and math.
