My experience at the community college and public school classroom includes a wide range of diverse teaching experiences from high achieving Japanese to Hispanic low performing students seventh graders I have excelled at teaching all levels of ethnically, academically and physically diverse students. The procedure I follow in tutoring is to first attack is to find out where any understanding difficulty lies. Then, I write the rules out. Next I work 2-3 problems applying the rules as we proceed step by step. Under my tutledge, I have the student work 2-3 problems on their own. When the student can, at least, master the basic problems, then we move on to the next area of difficulty. Every one can succeed at some level.

I started substitute teaching in 1983 while I was working on my Master's Degree at California State University, Long Beach. I have been a substitute teacher in Long Beach, Santa Barbara, Glendale, and Palm Springs. I have had experience as a long term substitute in Senior English for a year at Palm Springs High School, also in Palm Springs, I did six months as a Special Education teacher at Cree Middle School. While I was in Glendale, I worked a year at Allen Continuation High School teaching English and Social Studies.
