I'm very proficient in calculus 1 and most of Algebra. Since graduating from Northern Illinois University, I have had several experiences teaching children at the elementary and middle school age. I was a nanny for a family of three for a year right after graduating. It was a wonderful experience and gave me the opportunity to create my own lessons and activities for the children. As students work their way up to Calculus and further, it is important to understand the process of problem-solving and not focus on the numbers alone.
