A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a part-time Anatomy instructor at both NWTC and UWGB where I have taught since the Fall of 2004. I have taught several types of Anatomy & Health Science classes over the past six years. I also actively work part-time in the healthcare field as a chiropractor where I own and operate my own clinic in Green Bay. I have an extensive educational and medical background in anatomy/physiology, biology, chemistry, medical terminology, pharmacology, and radiology that I feel allows me to be an informative, well-rounded tutor. During my enrollment at the University of Arizona in Tucson, I tutored several students in advanced psychology courses as well as advanced English composition courses to undergraduates. I graduated from the University of Arizona with honors--a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology and a memmber of Golden Key National Honor Society. After graduation, I tutored a high school student in geometry. Lately, I have been tutoring a fifth-grade student in math and reading.
I believe that applications to everyday life should be stressed if a tutor/teacher is to pique the interest of their student(s). My favorite jobs that I have had dealt with working with children. I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. No two children are the same and that is why they deserve one on one communication. Each child has their own way of learning and that is why it is important to get to know them on a personal level.
For the past four summers I have worked in a childcare setting. Last summer I did an internship at a Headstart and the previous three summers I worked at a daycare. At both places I worked with children of all ages. In May of 2010 I graduated from UW Green Bay with a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I plan on getting certified in Child Life.

I don't have a wide teaching experience but I do enjoy working and helping Elementary or junior high leveled children. Ay my most recent job, I worked in a dept called 'PLAYLAND" where I was responsible for taking care and keeping the children of our customers entertained and busy as their parent's shopped for groceries. I have also assisted a choir class in high school for kids around my age at the time. I believe I am very good with children and I can show them much support and confidence in themselves with their struggle through their learning. I know I can be trusted and loyal to these students.
