I believe that the youth are in dire need of adults that have a heart to teach. As a teacher of your child, I want to be able to spend that time as productive as possible. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that applications to everyday life should be stressed if a tutor/teacher is to pique the interest of their student(s). Rather than stressing rote memorization, I believe it is more important to relate overall concepts in a "partnering" style. It is important to remember that one of the cornerstones of teaching is making the subject matter interesting and relevant to the student's experiences. I believe it is also important to focus on a student's strengths rather than their weaknesses. As in many areas of life, teaching also requires patience. From my experience, children benefit greatly from an easy-going approach where they are regarded as equals and treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
