My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : Power or Advance user of Excel

I use visual and auditory means to show the proper way to record the transactions then have the student repeat back what I said and enter the data to further enforce the method. After all is said and done, I show them the results from the transactions cause and effect on their books in the profit and loss, balance sheet, general ledger.
33 years of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, journal entries, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow, budgets, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, sales tax, excise tax, and consulting. Worked with industries in wholesale, retailer, and services. I handle companies with cash and accrual base accounting with C & S Corporations, LLC, Partnerships, and sole proprietors. I enjoy problem solving. It means that I must first understand the challenge by asking question to resolve the situation.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I was a programmer in MS Excel for over 20 years using the Excel as the Front End application and programmed in the bundled VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) included in MS Excel. Programming in MS Excel required Advanced User capabilities in order to data mine returned data to Excel, Creating Charts and pivot tables for example.

This, in many cases, showed employees how to link tables in Access to such databases as Oracle or SQL server in order to quickly generate reports so the individual could export to MS Excel. Additional training was also done on how to set up tables within Access and how to create reports in Access to greatly assist managers for example to automate many of their daily tasks. During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports. Since then I have been a math tutor in calculus. Engineering requires a solid understanding of math from the basics such as algebra and geometry to more difficult calculus and linear algebra. What I have learned in both mathematics and physics is used almost on a daily basis which is why I know the subjects so well.

A Little Bit About Me...

One of the strongest abilities I have is maintaining a high level of patience with others. I exercise patience with others on a daily basis whether interacting with my family, shopping at the grocery store, or driving on the highway. One of my most vivid memories of exercising patience with another person is when my neighbor, Kaitlyn, was learning to read. I practiced reading with Kaitlyn three afternoons a week during the summer. I worked patiently with her as she struggled to make out sounds and work her way through beginner books.
