Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! Creative Writing is my extreme passion. I've taken numerous creative writing classes in college and I'm currently working on writing my own fiction novel in my spare time.

I am a recent graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania (May 2011). I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. I also have a minor in photography. During my time at Mercyhurst College, I worked as a writing tutor in the school’s writing center. When students entered the center, it was my job to immediately make them feel comfortable by greeting them with a friendly smile and asking what I could help them with. After this, the students’ explained their assignment and expressed any concerns they had or anything their professors wanted them to work on. Although, I am not a certified teacher, I am currently working towards obtaining my licensure in Language Arts 7-12th grade and have taken several education related classes. I have recently obtained my BA in English and am educated in all of the current trends and graduated in the top ten percent of my class. During my time spent at Defiance College I had the pleasure of working for the Academic resource center as a writing consultant and tutor. There I helped fellow students learn how to write and research effectively. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working one on one with students because it is allows me to give more in depth and detailed instruction to the student based on his or her learning style. I believe in hands on learning and learning by example. All people have the ability to learn and understand any concept; I work to act as a guide from confused to accomplished.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. While with the Ohio Air National Guard, participated in the Mentoring program with Township Elementary, Swanton Local Schools for five(5)-years. I enjoyed working with the students, helping those that needed a little extra attention. I enjoy reading, writing, learning new words, learning period. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very energetic and interactive teacher, moving around the classroom, challenging students with questions, providing many examples and anecdotes to illustrate teaching points. I always try to teach inductively--leading the student to discover the answer on their own, and I encourage them to express their own original thoughts. I use a multisensory approach to teaching, using audio-visual resources and the internet whenever possible.
