Jazz Dancing is one of my top subjects! I have taken dance since I was three years old. I have been doing jazz for most of my life and I also attended many dance competitions with jazz numbers. I did solos, duets, and groups. Also, I was a dancer in many high school musicals. I was an assistant dance teacher at Louise School of Dance and now I currently help improve floor routines at a nearby gymnastic's gym.

I have been dancing and cheerleading since I have been very little. They have both been a very big part of my life. I danced at Louise School of Dance and competed in jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop. I have won numerous awards, placings, special awards, and scholarships based on my dancing and performances. I also enjoyed being in high school musicals as a dancer. I cheered for my school district since I was in kindergarden until I graduated; I was captain my junior and senior year. Now, I cheer for football and basketball at the college I attend. I taught dance for four years at Louise School of Dance and I also coached cheerleading for my school district for four years, as well as a Catholic school squad for a year. I plan on combining the two in the near future and becoming an NFL cheerleader.
I have taught one-on-one along with bigger groups and I am fine with both!

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children. Every child has their way of learning, and it just takes patience to find out how they process information. I am very patient, considerate, and positive that everyone can learn. I am a visual learner myself, and find that utilizing visual cues helps others with engraining information as well. I know the feeling of finally understanding a difficult concept, and I wish to help a child get that same feeling. It may take us some time, but together we can work towards obtaining that goal.

I believe that every student can successfully learn different subjects if the material is presented to them in a way they can understand. Students vary in how they learn; some learn from reading and others from visuals. I will help to identify which style works best for the student and then tutor them using that style. As a full time student and a full time employee of the General Electric Company I did not have the time to goof around. I had to be driven and utilize my time to accomplsh the most amount in the least amount of time. Therefore I have been able to use my experience to help students learn quickly and easily. I have spent time with students of all ages and have learned how to make connections with them. As a substitute teacher I have taught in every subject in every grade level. However, English is where I am strongest.
