Since I have been playing a lot of years, I have developed different techniques that enable me to play faster and more clear with ease to the fingers and wrists. Playing in a band and playing every weekend has made me learn different ways to keep up with the demanding songs that we play. Knowing all the chords is ok but it makes you somewhat limited. If you can master the chords of major E, A, C, F, G, and D, then you have all the basic things you need to play. Minors come later. After these basic chords, everything will fall into place. After that, bar chording comes next. I would really enjoy teaching at the beginner and intermediate levels.

When a question is asked, I am not going to simply just tell the student the answer. I would want them to think it out and try and figure it out for themselves. I would however guide them in the right direction and even ask them other questions they may know in order for them to figure out the intial problem. I feel that these types of interactions are a more effective way of learning. Also, writing things down helps tremedously because not only are you thinking it, but you're seeing it and reading it as well. I am a very easy person to get along with, and I am also very encouraging. I enjoy helping others whether it's in an academic environment or not.
