A Little Bit About Me...

As a non-traditional student I gave a good deal of thought as to what career to go into. I love working with students and enjoy providing an environment that is customized based on the student's individual learning style. I believe all students have a desire to succeed, but frequently struggling students have lost touch with that part of themselves. I would like to offer students an opportunity to reach their maximum potential. Furthering my foundation in teaching methods I pursued my Master's degree in teaching a second language while serving as a graduate. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is focused on student achievement. Many parents complain that their child does poorly on tests. This is often a result of inadequate teaching practices which fail to recognize individual learning differences in students. My goal in teaching is to individualize the learning process for each student, so that the student understands and retains knowledge and is able to explain what they learned. This process increases their test scores and confidence. Students often require that educational materials be modified or accommodated to meet their particular needs.
