Students generally perform better with hands-on practice. I provide multiple opportunities for hands-on and guided practice as time permits. Associate new concepts to familiar ones. Our memories are largely associative in nature. Therefore, providing connections from new concepts back to well established ones increases our retention and recall. I began 'teaching' as the head wakeboarding instructor at Coble Ski School in Lillington, NC, when I was a junior in high school. Shortly thereafter I took a position working at a beach resort in Pensacola, FL, where I spent an entire summer instructing surfing, kayaking and sailing. Since I am an engineering student, I have always been interested and excelled in math and science, so I have tutored many kids in all areas of science and mathematics.
