I personally can say that I have learned the most & can recall the most from those teachers that I consider my favorites. I believe it is because they knew how to inspire and motivate me to achieve what I thought I couldn’t or didn’t want to do. Those early experience is the inspiration behind the way I teach/tutor and write. I once heard it stated that ‘no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care’. Math is fun. Teaching math is more fun. I love playing with numbers and helping children also play with numbers and solve problems in the most easiest manner. I really wonder why does the clock move fast when I am in a math class.

I have always enjoyed both the humanities and sciences. At Virginia Tech, I majored in Philosophy and Minored in Statistics and Business. Since graduation, I have worked primarily in an engineering setting performing statistical analysis and other tasks typically performed by a test & validation engineer. Next fall I am starting a masters program at Northeastern University for Industrial Engineering. I have substitute taught for the Hopkinton Public School system and the Auburn Public School system. It is important to help the student gain confidence with the subject and to build his self-esteem.
