I am a graduate of Chico State with a BS in Computer Science and I was a student of their honors program. I was not a formal tutor, but I spent a lot of time with junior classmates helping them to understand their projects and meet their deadlines. After graduating, I worked as an instructor at Mendocino College. I taught computer science classes to young adults from different backgrounds and with different learning styles. A Little Bit About Me...

Having earned degrees in PE, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics I have a strong science background in subjects such as Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Kinetics, Biomechanics, Cellular Biology, Physics and Chemistry. In turn many of these subjects require knowledge of advanced mathmatical formulas and statistics. Therefore I am also very strong in math. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an elementary school teacher for nearly 18 years. I taught for 7 years in Elk Creek and 10 years in Los Molinos where I currently teach 2nd and 3rd grade. I earned Glenn County Teacher of the Year in 1998 and Tehama County Teacher of the Year in 2007. I was also named Glenn County Teacher of the Week for Channel 7 News in 1999. From 1992 to 1996 I trained in study skills for the History and Geology departments at Chico State through the Equity Services Office. This included a 3 hour training session each week in addition to tutoring individually and in groups for struggling college students. This was 4 of the greatest years ever! This University training really helped prepare me for the world of teaching and tutoring.
