First and foremost, I love working with students. I believe all students have an ability to learn once you find the way to connect with them. I think the key is in finding that particular connection because each student is gifted in his or her own special way. All people learn differently, and I approach teaching with this understanding and appreciation of the differences in all students and their backgrounds. As a motivated person, I attended UNCG as an undergraduate and graduate student while working full time. I have received both a BS and MS in Biochemistry. During my undergraduate years, I worked as an assistant in multiple lab courses. Throughout graduate school, I have taught Gen. Chem. Lab courses, which are taught in a lecture and lab setting. I have served moderate and low income students through AmeriCorps. My duties included running the after-school program in addition to helping student with their homework. I have also managed a multi-state campaign, and served as Vice President of an organization representing nearly 10,000 graduate/professional students.

I graduated high school in 2003 as the valedictorian of my class. I maintained my high level of academics in college but didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated in 2007 with my business degree and moved to NC. I worked for a mental health agency helping children in broken homes with school work and being a positive male role model as well as taking pre reqs to return to school for my masters degree in physical therapy.
