A Little Bit About Me...

I would prefer the library, just because it is big and open. The library in Tooele is a great example. It has rooms that can be used. I would prefer tutoring no more than 10 students at a time. If I can get a copy of the lesson before hand, I can be prepared.
Most of the subjects I have selected I passed with an 85% or better. I also did some tutoring in high school for other students. If I didn't learn it, I am most likely to figure out what is going on. It helps to know before hand what the lesson and subject is, just so I can remember what it is and to be more prepared.

Give Real life experience a try

Hands on approaches mixed with worldly knowledge, and a very patient style.
Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. I also have an aunt who is mentally handicapped, and I love spending time with her she is a very giving person. They teach me and it is always a joy to work with them and give something back.

The more you ask,the better you learn. So,Keep asking.(I love

more than 35 years of teaching experience in schools, language centers and academies throughout the Middle East. I am a language consultant in English and french where I designed curricula for various levels and trained teachers in linguistic methodology.Teaching is my lifetime passion. The teaching method should be tailored to the student's character, ability and the degree of assimilation. There is no standard method of teaching.
Active learning is the most effective way to learn. This entails an ongoing dialogue between teacher and learner. For example, grammar rules are ABSORBED and not taught in an abstract way.At the end of each topic,a role play is implemented where the learner becomes the teacher, and vice versa as this is the best way for both the teacher and students to assess the level of the student's understanding.

More About This Tutor...

I believe that it is important to have fun while learning. A good example would be my experience with science. I used to hate science, but my senior year of high school I had a great teacher in my Advanced Biology class. He made the class fun and entertaining. I believe that is the best way to teach someone.
I do not have a ton of experience. I am a college student currently attending Utah Vally University. I love to work with people. I am currently studying Behavioral Science. I am a quick learner myself and I have a lot of patience. I currently volunteer at a Children's Justice Center. And I work at Survey Sampling International. I love to teach people of all ages. I know I don't have a ton of experience, but I hope that someone will give me a chance to prove myself. I really would love to tutor. I maintained high grades through out high school and took college level courses duri ... read more

Reading is one of my top subjects!

I am a culinary school graduate and a full-time chef. As part of my chef-ly duties, I regularly find myself teaching cooking techniques and helping people become more comfortable in the kitchen. When it comes to writing, that I do more for my own amusement, but I have always considered myself more of a writer than anything else. I have experience and enjoy training youth in resume writing and goal setting.
I am an extremely patient person. My teaching style stems from that. I encourage those I tutor to set goals for what they want to learn or accomplish and then assist them in working towards those goals.

A Little Bit About Me...

Some pupils are very hardworking. They always do what they are asked to do.Some would bring dictionaries to school. So ,whenever , there are new vocabulary, they would refer to their dictionaries but the funniest thing is that these pupils do not know how to choose the best meanings to the words they found. They don't know whether it is a noun, adjective or verb. And some of them would take any meanings as long as there is a meaning to it. In my MA thesis, I have dealt with the language of magazines which presents the use of language which is fresh, topical and current. Within the course of my research, I have become acquainted with studies that have explored the language of journalism in general and the language of magazines in particular. A Little Bit About Me...

Education has been an integral part of my life. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in Business and Accounting and a MBA in Business and Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Most of my teaching experience has come from my volunteer assignments in religious activities, however, I was also a trainer for Select Health where I taught individuals concepts and applications applicable to the health insurance industry. As imagined, I have learned the appropriate rules in writing papers throughout my educational experience.
I do not believe there is one teaching style for every child. Therefore, my teaching method will vary depending on the needs of the individual. I do like to teach using visual aids, chalkboard, and scenarios. I also feel that positive reinforcement of successful accomplishments are critical in creating a strong foundation in learning. Ever since I was a young girl, I have loved learning. This passion for learning new things has given me the motivation to earn my Bachelor's degree in Humanities (emphasis: Music) as well as my Master's degree in Comparative studies. Through the writing and publication of my thesis, I have gained valuable experience editing, researching, and proofreading as well as learning analytical and critical thinking skills. As a Humanities major with an emphasis area in Music as well as a French minor, my undergraduate education has prepared me to be able to teach a wide array of subjects.

I am a firm believer that the role of an educator is to help a child develop a passion for learning. For me, it is essential that learning is fun. With positive encouragement and belief in a child, I believe he or she can reach his or her potential.
My education is in business related fields. As a result, I have a good understanding of analytical subjects like math and statistics. I also am fluent in Spanish and have taken multiple hours of course work in grammar and Spanish literature. However, my experience as an educator spans over four years when I was a debate coach for a local high school. I am experienced at research and formulating essay style papers/positions and communicating effectively over a broad range of topics.
