Never stop pushing yourself to learn

I have taught a large array of children and adults, anywhere from a 2nd grader struggling with reading to adult Burmese refugees. I have the patience and flexibility to successfully work with anyone. I started tutoring when I was around the age of 13. I taught a young Korean girl English, where I would have to create my own lesson plans. While I attended Okemos high school, I partook in volunteering experiences that dealt with tutoring. For two years, I was placed at an elementary school where I would tutor 1st-5th graders biweekly with anything from basic math to practice with reading. I built strong connections with the children, which I could use to better their learning. At Michigan State University, I spent a semester tutoring at the Boys and Girls club of Lansing. A Little Bit About Me...

I have helped out several of my friends and family members, with everything from studying to hands on projects. I am looking to expand this help to others, and I also believe it will be a rewarding experience for myself. I, myself, enjoy the learning experience a lot, and hope to help others also find a way to enjoy their learning experience.
I have many different teaching tactics depending on how someone prefers to learn. Some people are visual learners, and need the assistance of visual aids and presentations. Others like to learn about things by doing them. However someone enjoys learning, I believe is the best method.
