A Little Bit About Me...

I ask the student why they need the statistics and what do they need to know. While tutoring, it's important to make the subject clear. Sometimes small details, such as confusion over algebraic manipulation, can lead to overwhelming confusion. The use of statistical packages is very important, but can be confusing for people who need to get a basic understanding before they use the package.
I received an MS in Statistics in 1985, and I worked for a pharmaceutical company in NJ for a year and a half. After that I stayed home, raising two children. With the children growing up, I returned to school and got a second Master's degree in Applied Math last year. While studying for my latest degree, I did tutoring in Statistics. I tutored University students who needed statistics for their academic work.
