World History is one of my top subjects! I have an MA in history and am most knowledgeable about European social and art history of the 18th century to the mid 20th century.

I received my MA in the History of Art from the University of Georgia in August of 2010 and specialize in modern and contemporary art. I believe that an appreciation of art and its history is best cultivated by examining the major themes and tropes of past art and design and structurally linking it to the social history and art of later periods and when possible to local art. I have a broad education in all periods of art, but I'm most proficient with art from the mid 18th-21st centuries. I teach art appreciation as an adjunct instructor and am currently curating an exhibit of photographic prints and illustrations at the Nashville Public Library. A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a bachelor's degree in Political Science, which focused on writing and research. I earned an alternative teaching certification, which allowed me to work as an inclusion teacher at the middle school level, which allowed me to spend a great deal of time working with small groups and in one on one settings. I have taught life sciences, Earth sciences, world geography, and United States history. I also have a year's experience of tutoring beginning reading.
I enjoy working with students and showing them the joy of learning. I believe that children learn most in small groups and one on one environments. I believe that children learn best when they feel respected. I think that everyone has skills and talents to offer. I try to help my students find their own gifts and work to allow them to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
