As a student at Eastern Illinois University (EIU) I majored in Accounting and minored in Chemistry and Pre-medicine. This path provided me with a well rounded education, which required me to take many courses in Chemistry, Physics, Math, Biological Sciences, Accounting, Tax, etc. As a student at EIU I was a Lord scholar graduating Summa Cum Laude with an accumulated GPA of 3.94/4.00. When I completed my masters degree my family and I moved to the Saint Louis area where I worked as a CPA and taught accounting and individual income tax at Southwestern Illinois College and Saint Louis University. After moving back to the Neoga, Illinois area I began teaching in the Accounting Department at EIU.

I have an Associates in Applied Science degree from Lake Land College in Network Administration. I have worked in many supervisory positions as well. Most recently as the Automated Guided Vehicle Systems Coordinator at Caterpillar Inc. in Decatur Illinois. I have written many reports and essays over the last eighteen years.
