My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I have taught 16 credit hours of coursework on Shakespeare at the college level.

My instructional experience includes over 230 credit hours of composition and language arts instruction, including creative writing, literary analysis and Shakespeare. However, most of the instruction has been focused on composition. I developed a bachelor level English course for Pearson Education, working as a writer on a team of three; the course was deployed nationally at over 100 campuses.
Interactive! Students need to apply what they have learned, to reinforce the learning cycle.

A Little Bit About Me...

I taught in the Wright City RII School District for 26 years, at both high school and middle school level. During that time I taught everything from English and American literature to basic grammar and writing skills. I also taught some reading classes. I have extensive experience in writing research papers and strong skills in grammar and punctuation. I was an assistant principal for two years, and helped develop a reading program for the middle school. As a professional teacher tutoring students was an essential part of ensuring success for many of my students.

I gained my tutoring experience working the Wilmer Writing Center at Lynchburg College while I was a student there. I worked with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professors, to edit their papers; these papers covered all subject areas from English to Science to Teaching. I also tutored students in English specifically while working at the writing center. I helped to improve students grades significantly while also teaching them at the same time.
