A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is not typical since I am not a certified teacher. I am creative in my teaching style using a variety of techniques. I understand that each child and person learns differently (Auditory, Visual, Tactile) so I try to discover their style and incorporate as much as possible. I try to teach using real life experiences and examples. I break things down into simple parts before moving on to the next level. I believe that it is important to instill confidence in the student which raises expectations and increases motivation. I am very patient with a good sense of humor.

Upon graduating from Ashland University with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, I began teaching 3rd grade at a charter school in Lorain. Soon afterwards, I started my classes to obtain my Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum, which I acquired in May of 2008. After 3 years of teaching I decided to take my experience to the Lorain Public Library, where I am currently employed.
