A Little Bit About Me...

I take pride in discerning each student's learning style and then teaching them in the most effective manner. I am a firm believer that all people are teachable, and that no real method is ultimately the best, but that the approach should be tailored to what the student is good at.
I have three degrees, Masters in Biochemistry, B.A. in Biology, and an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Currently, I am involved in marketing for a law firm, and am responsible for writing Excel programs for customer tracking, website SEO, and generally raising the profile of the business, and analysis. I earned my MA degree in Biology from Villanova University in December 1997. For the next two years I earned my living by tutoring students in biology and math as a side business until I landed a research position at Princeton University in 1999. Since then I have been doing laboratory research in the pharmaceutical industry. My extensive background in Biology has allowed me to learn several aspects in the field that I would not have learned in the classroom. Although my tutoring was not through official channels, I feel that my experience taught me that each student is different and responds to different types of approaches of learning. After 18 years in the pharmaceutical and medical fields I have set my sights to earning my teaching certification. I am a father of three, a Volunteer Fire Fighter and self described science buff. I am looking to tutor to help students to fine their love of science and also to help them build the study skills that will help to make school easier and improve grades.
