For the past 30 years, I have worked with special needs students. I believe that students learn at their educational level. The problem with education today, is that students are often in classrooms that stress learning at their frustration level. I have taught 6-12th grade English for three years. While teaching in Detroit I was the lead teacher heading the tutoring program for MEAP preparation. I have also prepared North Carolina students for ACT and SATs. I have been told that my classroom does not need a teacher's desk. This is probably due to my high energy, fact paced teaching style.
