I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. I worked as a tutor in the Math Learning Center at MSU, as well as an undergraduate teaching assistant. I like to use what the student already knows to prompt them forward into discovering how to complete the problem at hand on their own with guidance. I think this help connects the new material to the material the student already knows, which, in turn, will help them remember and understand it better.
