Collective, fun and creative learning
I studied graphic design at the Savannah College of Art and Design where I obtained an eye for detail, color, layout design, typography and creative processes. It was during this time that I also I worked as a graphic design intern at Longwater Advertising agency where several of my designs and corporate identity solutions were recognized in the Addy and Ace awards. Even though most of my experience comes from design and branding, I have taught my self web languages such as html, css, javascript and AS3. Painting is one of my top subjects! I specialize in digital painting, in programs such as Photoshop and GIMP. I do not specialize in traditional media such as oils and acrylic, but I can teach the fundamentals such as color theory and composition. I've worked for Disney Research as an artist for over a year. As a teacher, I've successfully helped students get admitted into their desired magnet schools, such as LaGuardia High School, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, and the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. I've also helped artists get their first freelancing gigs.

I teach online through Skype or Google Hangouts. During drawing lessons, I take screenshots of the student's artwork. If the student is using their webcam while drawing on paper, I have them hold up their drawings to the webcam so that I can take screenshots of their work. As I'm sharing my screen, I digitally draw my demonstrations and mark up student's work so that they can precisely pinpoint where they should revise their drawings. This has been most effective, and students show improvement over the course of each hour they have lessons with me. I also help students manage their psychology and learn some mindfulness to optimize their performance. Especially when students have tight deadlines to make, they can often be stressed and get performance anxiety.
