I am a firm believer in relating material to real-world examples. I have found that many students are over-whelmed by material and do not see any application for the material, and thus they do not have the desire needed to absorb the material. I strive to make the material fun and break it down to small units so that it is easily absorbed.
I have spent 10 years in college academia resulting in a PhD as my terminal degree. Through my studies, I have acquired an in-depth knowledge of statistics, molecular biology, genetics, ecology, and bioinformatics to complete this degree. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with children and peoples of all ages. I look for each individuals way of learning and apply an apporpriate method that will make the material understandable for the particular student. Sometimes, experimenting with a student and trying different techniques is the best method. Having a student use flash cards, reading aloud, or having the material read to the student are a few of the ways I use to convey material to be learned.I believe that it is a teachers job to identify learning blocks to help a student achieve to the best of his or her ability.
