I was a teaching assistant for past 1 year for 2 different subjects for 2 semesters. I used to conduct lab sessions, correct home works, labs and quizzes. It was my responsibility to make students understand the lab and help them to get the solutions. In this past 1 year I came to know that every student has different level of understanding and we have to clear their doubt by getting at their level. We have to be always fully prepared with complete curriculum.
Practical examples and theory are equally important. Before finalizing the class schedule for a semester it is important to understand average understanding of the class. Tutor should ask questions frequently to find out whether class is following or not and accordingly he/she can change the way of teaching. Small evaluation test is good once a week so the concepts get cleared time to time.

My goal is to help children in any context that I can. Although I have my sights set on being a pediatric neurologist, my vision encompasses more than this end. I have worked with children from ages 3 to 16 starting from the time that I was a sophomore in high school to the present. I have served a diverse array of roles, such as summer camp counselor, patient care associate at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and a mathematics teacher at an inner city school in St. Louis. I like teaching students by explaining the material in a way I think is easiest to understand. I always emphasize how the material relates to what students already knows and how they can use what they know to solve problems. Often students cannot see how what they are learning can ever be useful in real life situations so I also try to give examples of when they might use what we are covering. Most importantly I am still a student myself I find I always learn better with examples so I always try to work through plenty of examples.
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Missouri. I am working on dual masters in economics and statistics and just finished year one of two.
