A Little Bit About Me...

I have spent several years as a student and tutor at the university level. I am planning to enter medical school in the Fall of 2012 and as such have developed a strong foundation in the sciences throughout my undergraduate education. Although I majored in Biology, my true passion is Chemistry. I spent 2 years on a religious service mission where I became fluent in Spanish. I am fascinated by the ability to communicate with an entirely new group of people. I learned Spanish by being immersed in the culture and have since studied Spanish at the university level in order to understand the "rules" behind speaking the language.

I have taught mathematics at the high school and college levels spanning over 15 years. I have always been complimented on being able to explain difficult topics in plain straight-forward language. My primary profession is an actuary, bit I also tutor students in calculus and statistics during my spare time. I can create positive results by giving the student the necessary confidence in tackling seemingly impossible problems with an eye toward simplicity.
