As an undergrad I worked as a mentor for a freshman in my major, helping him cope with school and advising him of the courses he needs to take. I also provide tutoring when needed. In high school I was part of a program called PEPP where high school students provided tutoring to middle school students. I was also involved in a program developed by my school's Honor Society where we tutor our peers in math and science courses. I have taught chemistry at the high school, community college, and university levels. I can also teach math at the high school level or lower. I have taught students of diverse races, ages genders and nationalities. I have taught during the day, evenings, and week-ends. Most of my working life has been about teaching. Actually, I am a trained teacher and hold the equivalent of an AA degree with emphasis on teaching chemistry and mathematics at the high school level.
