My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : As a special education teacher I have taught Testing Skills for the last 13 years.

I have 22 years experience of working with students ages 6 to 17 in two different countries. I taught elementary for two years in India and 4 years of 6th grade to 10th grade in India. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in California for one year in a middle school in a special education classroom. I got the opportunity to work as a T.A in St.Paul School District for 2 years with special needs students in an elementary school. I worked as an E.A in St.Paul Schools for 4years in an elementary setting. I am teaching in St.Paul Public Schools in a high school settings since 2003.

I have a BA in psychology and have worked for 12 years in the mental health field. I am currently working on getting my Elem. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching experience began during high school when I would help out at my church's Sunday School providing remedial services like handing out papers. Since then I have earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics with ambitions to earn a PhD. During my undergraduate experience I tutored beginning accounting students for a couple hours a week aside from the usual work of helping classmates. Upon graduation I began looking other ways to continue teaching. About 10 months ago I began volunteering at a community center. When I tutor students I take the time to get to know each student on an individual basis and as a unique person. I make it a priority to determine their learning style and use that to implement a plan. I try and understand the reason they are having problems in their studies and then execute a plan in which they can succeed.
