1980- 2015: worked for Nestle as food research chemist and retired in June 2015. Part of my job as a lead research scientist was to supervise and mentor interns. I was also a member of a team that provided training to Nestle employees globally on a regular basis. 1968-1980: Taught Chemistry (College Level) at the University of the East in the Philippines and at Los Angeles Valley College (Community College) in Los Angeles. From my teaching experience at the University of Iowa, I think that the level of understanding of the subject varies from student to student. Some students grasp the subject easily while it is hard for others.
