I have had over 15 years of tutoring and/or teaching experience. I have worked with different age groups, my preferred and primary being adults. I am currently working on my master’s thesis in mathematics, by which I expect to graduate fairly soon. I am patient, creative, and thorough in my interaction with students. I am a true believer that learning is one the most rewarding and exciting aspects of an education. I began tutoring students in 1984 while working in the math lab as an undergraduate student at the University of Southern Mississippi. After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a general science minor, I had the opportunity to teach college algebra as a graduate teaching assistant. I worked for 11 years in Virginia as a paraprofessional in the school system, originally doing strictly homebase work with handicapped children, then moving into the schools.
