A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children deserve to be given the chance to learn. I understand that not everyone learns the same way; differentiated forms of instruction are an important part of the day to day teaching method. I find that I am patient with children, allowing them to work at their own speed, and encouraging them to work to the best of their abilities. I encourage a hands-on approach to learning: it’s more fun if you can get dirty! I also believe I have a sense of humor that helps me connect with children. I hope to provide all the help I can to enhance a child’s learning ability.

I believe that in order to succeed in teaching and being an educator you must inspire those that you are teaching. A child who is excited to learn, will do much better. I feel a hands on approach is best, guiding the child to personal success.
As a Siena College graduate I developed a very hands on approach to active learning. Through classroom lecture and instruction I've completed the necessary coursework to complete my BS of biology. Due to my strong work ethic I've gained knowledge and skills in the physical sciences, as well as in other subject areas. During my college years I subbed as teacher at a public K-12 school.
