A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from IUP with a degree in Biology Education. I am certified in Biology and Middle School Science. I taught for one semester at Central Bucks School District where I taught Academic Biology, Astronomy and Oceanography. I then taught two years at Gateway School District where I taught 8th grade physical science. I now have a permanent position at Yough School District where I teach 7th grade Life Science. I am also currently pursuing my Masters in Education.
The purpose of my teaching is to allow every student to succeed. I will try any way possible to reach this goal for every child. Working in the sciences, I feel that inquiry learning is important and hands-on experience is essential. I have been a High School Spanish Teacher for three years under the state of North Carolina. Before that, I was lead school teacher at a daycare where I specialized in Spanish. I have studied abroad to Spain, Portugal, and Africa. Also, I have done tutoring on the side to High School students. I wish to teach Spanish in the target language.
I find that every student can learn. Although challenging, every human being has the power to learn another language. I would describe my teaching style as fun yet effective.
