Once they find what works for them, they will succeed. It is my job as an educator to help them find that out. I like to use a multi modality approach so that students learn all different types of learning styles, this way they may pick and choose certain styles that work for them. A Little Bit About Me...

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school and now that I have graduated I am excited to finally live out my childhood dreams. I am very enthusiastic, patient, and creative. I feel as though all children can learn, it's just a matter of figuring out what learning style best suits them. I truly believe in the use of positive reinforcement whenever possible.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Hartford. I have a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. I have taught in both Urban and Suburban areas in grades K, 1, 2,5,6, and 7. I have also tutored children in grade 4 and peers at the college level. I have tutored all elementary subjects and at the college level I have tutored in English and World History.

I love working and communicating with children. Every child that I have worked with is very different, and each child presents a unique challenge for me to overcome. Allowing the child to experience and discover the new concept usually works the best. I have also found that breaking the new concept down into steps works well.
