In high school I took Advanced Placement courses in American History, Biology, and Literature. To develop responsible learners who will succeed in and contribute to a changing world is vital! Because of this, a student-centered education is important. A constructivism approach to learning is very important to me as opposed to the behavioralist approach that has dominated education. I strive to actively engage students in their own education. A Little Bit About Me...

My first two years were devoted to an education degree. I gained experience in tutoring, including assisting elementary students and mentoring a group of advanced math students. I was actually accepted into the school of education, and in the process performed 30 hours of classroom observations and assisting teachers at the high school and middle school level. During my remaining two years I private tutored students in algebra, college algebra, calculus, and statistics. As a result of being a perspective educator, private tutor, and having a bachelor's degrees in both Mathematics and History, I am a capable instructor for students in paper writing, research techniques, mathematical problem solving, and statistics.
